Tanglewood Trail Lodge - revisited.....
Back in the day (and I mean wayyyyy back), we spent many of our formative years at our family owned Tanglewood Trail Lodge - a wilderness fishing resort on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area outside of Ely, Minnesota. This was pretty much all work and very little play - tough for all of us kids.
When you live 25 miles out of town, dating just doesn't fit in the wheelhouse, and friends were few and far away. We were usually up by 5am to clean and prep the fishing boats for the resort guests. Then we might get some breakfast before the chores began.
