An incredible number of islands with a great tropical climate.... there is much to do in this country and trying to narrow things down will be a challenge. I've talked with other travelers who mentioned Dumaguete, central Visayas, as a worthwhile destination. Researching this potential destination for us will take some time, but I've put together the following information about the Dumaquete area.
Dumaguete is the capital city and main port of the province of Negros Oriental, in the central Visayas region. The city is popularly know as the "City of Gentle People" with the best of everything: serenity, simplicity, and safety.
